The agency provides residential treatment for substance use disorders for adults, age 18 to 70, who live in Los Angeles County and have a dual diagnosis of substance use disorder and mental illness. Services include residential alcohol use disorder treatment facilities and residential drug use disorder treatment facilities. The program is unable to accommodate people who are non-ambulatory, who require detoxification or who present a danger to themselves or others. All applicants must have a dependency on alcohol or drugs and a major, professionally-diagnosed psychiatric disorder. There are no geographic restrictions.
Residential treatment is a 30 day to 6 month program that includes individual, group and family counseling; alcohol and drug education; recreational activities; and twelve-step support groups. The program provides beds for 38 residents and works closely with the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health Continuing Care Program to plan after-care services. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Call to apply. An appointment is required. All applicants are required to attend an intake meeting and have documentation of mental disability. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE Fees are $1169 per month for Medi-Cal recipients. Some private insurance is accepted for payment of residential treatment.
