The agency provides substance use disorder services for adolescents and young adults ages 12 to 18 and for adults who live in Los Angeles County. Services include outpatient comprehensive substance use disorder treatment. There are no geographic restrictions.
The adolescents and young adult substance use disorder program is provided in a group setting. Subjects provided include anger management, coping skills, conflict resolution, educational enrichment activities, life skills development, recreational activities, random alcohol and drug testing, relapse prevention and violence prevention. Also included is employment services which provides job coaching, interviewing skills, job application assistance, job retention tips, job search assistance, resume writing and skills assessment and development.
The adult substance use disorder program is provided in group sessions and is a three to six month program. Services provided include conflict resolution, the effects and consequences of substance abuse, random alcohol and drug testing, relapse prevention, substance abuse and the family and substance abuse related violence against women. Also included are topics such as addiction in the family, alcoholism a family disease, drug addiction sysmptoms, family dynamics, harmful effects of marijuana, life and addiction history, risk of prescription drugs, and recovering families. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Call or walk in for information. For adults, drivers license or CA ID are required. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE Fees for adults are on a sliding scale based on income; there is a registration fee for some services, call for information. For adolescents and young adults in the substance abuse program the fee is $10 per group session with a registration fee of $20.
