The agency provides substance use disorder services for individuals in Los Angeles County. Services include alcohol use disorder education/prevention, drug use disorder education/prevention, medical information lines, organizational development and management services, planning/coordinating/advisory groups, and specialized information and referral. There are no geographic restrictions.

The agency is supports The County of Los Angeles Commission on Alcohol and Other Drugs, an advisory body whose members are appointed by the Board of Supervisors to represent the interests of their consituuents. commissioners advise and make recommendations to the Board of Supervisors regarding alcohol and drug related issues wiht a goal of reducing the negative impact of substance use on residents of Los Angeles County.
