Services and hours may have been affected due to Coronavirus. Food services are being provided as weekly food boxes – call (626)-756-7054 for food services. Legal counseling and case management are being provided virtually – call (626) 384-5380 for an appointment.
The center provides services for older adults age 55 and older who live in Covina. Services include blood pressure screening, congregate meals/nutrition sites, legal counseling, case/care management, physical fitness center, recreational/leisure/arts instruction, senior center, specialized information and referral, welfare rights assistance and workshops/symposiums. Services are targeted but, not restricted, to Covina residents.
Seniors may call or come to the center for information about and referral to a variety of resources such as housing, monthly food bank, personal care services and transportation services.
Seniors may also come to the center to participate in the hot lunch program, which is for seniors 60 years and older. Reservations are needed by 12:00pm one day in advance. Adults under 60 years of age, due to program guidelines for the participants, the meal is not guaranteed. The fitness center offers a variety of cardio and strength training exercise equipment. The fitness center is free for adults age 55 and older. All fitness center users must attend a 30 minute orientation in order to use the fitness center.
