The clinic provides dental hygiene services for students at Pasadena City College (PCC) and for adults and youth, age 6 to 17, who live in the surrounding communities. Services include examination and assessment, teeth cleaning and fluoride treatment and sealants. Dental x-rays may be taken if determined necessary. There are no geographic restrictions.
This is a teaching clinic; the services are provided by supervised dental hygiene students, primarily from August through May. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Call or walk in for an appointment. People 17 years and younger must have the written consent of a parent or guardian prior to the appointment. All appointments take 3 1/2 hours. New patients may need at least two visits; the first is for assessment and medical history. The clinic accepts patients who will be good learning experiences for the students. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE The fee for teeth cleaning are $10 for PCC students and $20 for the public, with or without fluoride treatment. The fee for sealants is $5.00 per tooth. The fee for full mouth x-rays is $20; for bitewing x-rays, $10. Fees for x-rays apply only if they are sent out. A prescription from a dentist is required for x-rays. The clinic accepts cash or check only; no credit cards.
