During the COVID-19 pandemic, WIC services are available online and by telephone only. Please call Monday through Friday, between 9:00am and 5:00pm. If you are pregnant or have a child under age 5, WIC can help provide nutritious foods and more resources to keep your growing family healthy.
This is a supplemental nutrition program that provides food vouchers and nutrition education for pregnant women, new and/or breastfeeding mothers, infants, and children younger than age five who live in California. Eligible applicants must meet federal low-income guidelines and have been determined to be at nutritional risk by a health professional. When funding is decreased, services are offered based on priority, contact office for eligibility determination.
The program provides electronic card vouchers that are redeemed at authorized stores for specified foods such as fruit, vegetables, milk, (Cow’s milk, lactose-free milk, and soy milk available), eggs, beans, peanut butter, whole grains (tortillas, pasta, oatmeal, bread, brown rice, cereals, barley and bulgur), breakfast cereal, yogurt, cheese, 100% juice, tofu, canned fish, baby food, infant cereal, and infant formula. The WIC food package will vary based on participant age and other factors. Voucher benefits are issued monthly and must be used within 30 days.
