Profile
The Senior Services Division is housed at the South El Monte Senior Center, which is a multipurpose center and a central access point for information and services to assist older adults (55 and older) in the community. The Senior Center is open to anyone 55 years of age or older; however certain activities and services have age restrictions.
The South El Monte Senior Center serves well-balanced nutritious meals, Monday through Friday (except on special luncheons) at 11:30 am. The senior nutrition program serves meals in a group setting at the South El Monte Senior Center and meals are coordinated with other social services such as transportation, educational presentations, health screenings, and recreation and wellness programs. Special lunch events are conducted in conjunction with holidays.
Lunch registration begins at 8:30 a.m. Lunch tickets are distributed on a first come, first serve basis, while supplies last.
If you are attending for the first time, a Comprehensive Service Intake Form must be filled out. (Hours to fill out form: 8 am – 10 am & 2:00 pm -2:45 pm).
The suggested voluntary contributions for each meal is $3.00 for seniors (60+) and $7.00 for non-seniors (59 and under).
