The agency places individuals who are court ordered by the Superior court districts and the Los Angeles County Probation Department to do community service in lieu of, or in addition to, a fine or confinement.
The agency provides registration for the Hospital and Morgue (HAM) program for court-ordered adult and juvenile DUI offenders. The program typically includes a trip to a local hospital emergency room and the Los Angeles County Coroner-Medical Examiner. Participants tour the facilities and learn about the consequences of drunk driving; the tour may include viewing portions of autopsy procedures. Self-referred individuals may also attend. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Call or walk in to apply; court paperwork and ID are required. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE There are fixed fees that vary; call for information.
